Greenbrook Sanctuary hosts over 200 species of birds, representing a diverse mix of migratory and indigenous birds from the northeastern United States. From the iconic red-winged blackbird to the melodious wood thrush, each bird adds its unique voice to the sanctuary's vibrant chorus. During migrations, the sanctuary becomes a bustling hub for avian travelers, while resident species like the eastern bluebird and northern cardinal grace the landscape year-round. Additionally, the annual hawk migration is a spectacle to behold, as majestic raptors soar overhead in impressive numbers. Whether it's the sight of flocks of Canada geese or the haunting call of the barred owl, Greenbrook Sanctuary offers a rich tapestry of birdlife for all to enjoy.
